About Us
Carmella purchased Casa Italiana in July, 2007. It's a first for Carmella, since she's a registered nurse with numerous certifications and her first career is working in the Cardiac Cath Lab at Manatee Memorial Hospital. Her family, however, has extensive experience in the food and beverage business. Ralph, her son, has worked in restaurants on every level since 1984. Deborah, her sister, has worked in the food industry since 1989. Tim, family friend, has been involved with cooking and serving for over 25 years.
Carmella's Casa Italiana is a small family owned & operated restaurant & pizzeria offering authentic Italian food & New York style pizza. The atmosphere is casual & the prices are affordable. Customer Care Standards

To support our vision, we have written customer care standards, and we train our employees to adhere to them every working hour. Strong, open communication of customer care standards sets expectations and encourages improvement. Each set of standards creates a chain of behavior linking our customers to our vision, mission, and values to all of us.
Our destination is customer loyalty…our vehicle is customer care standards. We developed a set of customer care standards for both internal and external customers that we communicate, practice and constantly improve. They help us pinpoint customer care problems before customers notice.
Standards also empower our employees to accomplish our customer care vision of “Exceed the Expected”. Creating standards does not eliminate innovation…it allows employees to focus it. Real customer service and value grows when employees focus on everything they can add above and around the existing customer care standards for all areas.
11 major principles guide the individual standards for each area of Carmella’s Casa Italiana:

- We will treat all customers with respect, courtesy, and urgency.
- We will aim to answer all phone calls within 20 seconds.
- We will reply to all written correspondence within 15 days.
- We will reply to all email within 24 hours.
- We will respond to all voice mail messages within 24 hours.
- We will greet customers within 3 minutes of arrival in the restaurant.
- We will survey for customer service feedback at least bi-annually.
- We will deliver the highest quality products and services.
- We will provide timely and accurate documentation.
- We will comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Everything we serve is individually prepared and made fresh to order. We are not a chain or a franchise. Essentially, this means food is not going to appear at your table, on the counter, or at your doorstep in 5 or 10 minutes. This is not fast food. We take pride in all our dishes and this is readily apparent in the outstanding flavor and taste of everything that leaves the kitchen. Expect nothing less than fantastic food and expert, friendly customer service.
Got a group to feed? These are busy times, and no one understands that better than we do. When planning your next party, whether it be a casual lunch and gathering of friends or something more involved, we will cater all your functions, whether small or large. Your time is important and possibly limited. While you organize the logistics, leave the cooking to us. Ralph and Deborah are eager to work with you to establish pricing and plan the menu. At your discretion, we can deliver the food for the event or you can pick it up.
